Save Mart and Lucky Stores Launch Mobile-Based Rewards Program

March 6, 2015

California-based supermarkets Save Mart and Lucky launched a rewards program based on an integrated smartphone app and targeted to fit into the busy lifestyle of today’s shopper.

Named appropriately for each banner, Save Mart shoppers can start using the “Save Smart” program in stores now throughout Sacramento, the Central Valley and Reno. “Lucky You” will launch in Bay Area Lucky stores on March 18.

The “Lucky You” and “Save Smart” rewards program offers three key benefits, all customized for the shopper:

  • Savings: E-coupons and rewards and coupons are selected in the app or online and moved into a shopper’s account and redeemed automatically at checkout when the items purchased match a reward, promotion or coupon in their accounts. Points are accrued post-purchase and allow shoppers to choose their rewards from a variety of offers.
  • Easy Meal-Planning Solutions: The app features a proprietary database of thousands of recipes and meal ingredients can be instantly added to the shopping list.
  • Convenience: The rewards program app allows users to continuously update their shopping lists throughout the day and clip coupons or redeem points for in-store offers before they head to the stores.

To sign-up for “Save Smart” or “Lucky You,” shoppers can go to their local store, download the ‘Save Mart’ or ‘Lucky Supermarkets’ app or visit the grocers' websites.
